The college was established in 2006 in the name of Rajiv Gandhi Rural College of Education (B.Ed.), Koppal.

Since 2006 the College has been running in RDTE'S Building and the college proposal building in under construction. It will be inaugural and started from academic year of 2018-19.

The college recognized by NCTE, Approved from Government of Karnataka and Affiliated to Vijayanagara Srikrishnadevaraya University Ballari.

The college has good academic and administration staff. The college conducting different curricular and co-curricular activities as per B.Ed. Course. And also every year giving good result.
